Job summary

Ryan Companies US, Inc. is seeking an on-site internship position on a Dallas project to assist the project team in completing designated projects while you learn Ryan processes, procedures and business policies.

The role focuses on education in field and office operations on a construction site for a minimum of six months, with potential continuation through the duration of the project. You will gain exposure to RFIs, shop drawings, safety policies, scheduling, and site logistics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field is required.
• Knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control, and material pricing.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations, understand drawings, purchase orders, contracts, and cost-coding systems.
• Must be able to interface and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist in generating RFIs and track approvals.
• Monitor and maintain shop drawing log and coordination.
• Learn dimensional control by field verifying dimensions to back check shop drawing approvals.
• Assist in coordination and tracking of Vendor and Subcontractor deliveries.
• Learn Ryan Safety Policies and Procedures.
• Gain understanding of overall site logistics.
• Participate in and understand city/ jurisdictional permit inspections.
• Keep office and jobsite plans updated with RFIs and ASIs.
• Attend Punchlist inspections with Ryan personnel and Owner, record items and monitor completion.
• Assist in preparing and updating the project schedule.
