Fortis Construction, Inc. is offering an internship for a Project Engineer on our active job sites.

You will act as a liaison between subcontractors, the design team, inspectors and the project manager to facilitate a safe, well-coordinated construction project. The role involves owning scopes from drawings to turnover, with responsibilities including procurement, document control, RFI management, change orders and safety auditing, while collaborating with the project team to meet owner

Qualifications

• Must be actively enrolled as a college student.
• Strong technical and organizational skills with excellent written and verbal communication.
• High level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel and Word).
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without Visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Act as Project Engineer on the jobsite.
• Serve as liaison between subcontractors, design team, inspectors and project manager to facilitate a safe, well-coordinated project.
• Own specific scopes of a construction project from drawings issued through subcontractor buyout, construction, startup, commissioning and turnover.
• Involve procurement, document control, submittal management, RFI management, change order management, contracts administration, issue resolution, safety auditing, and field coordination.
