Job summary

Procon is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to provide full-time, onsite construction management and owner’s representative services for federal projects in the Washington, D.C. area.

This role emphasizes renovation experience, strong coordination among government stakeholders, design teams, contractors, and consultants, and a proactive approach to risk, schedule, and quality. Procon offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction management, architecture, engineering, and/or construction.
• Experience with renovation and exterior improvements (waterproofing, water-infiltration remediation, concrete/slab repairs).
• Strong onsite construction management and Owner’s Representative experience.
• Experience with occupied, secure, or government facilities; federal experience is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of drawings, specifications, codes, safety standards, and documentation.
• Ability to coordinate with owners, government reps, contractors, architects/engineers, consultants.
• Familiarity with IGEs, SOWs, acquisition support, commissioning, and closeout processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily onsite oversight as the Construction Project Manager and Owner’s Representative.
• Inspect work for contract compliance with documents, codes, safety, and security requirements.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, schedules, change orders, pay applications, testing, inspections, logs, and docs.
• Review contractor schedules, progress, changes, and payment applications for accuracy.
• Lead project meetings, prepare minutes, and coordinate with owners, contractors, architects, engineers, commissioning agents, and consultants.
• Monitor contractor quality control and safety programs and identify risks.
• Prepare field reports, risk assessments, IGEs, SOWs, and other deliverables.
• Support acquisition, procurement, contract administration, startup, and closeout activities.
• Serve as liaison between government, contractors, design professionals, and stakeholders.
