Job summary

System One, Rochester, NY, is seeking a Construction Inspector for a contract-to-hire, onsite role. Compensation ranges from $22 to $28 hourly. You will perform field testing of soils, concrete and steel, prepare field data and reports, and travel to various sites. Requires 1 year of field inspection experience and an Associates Degree; preferred certifications include ACI Field Technician I, Nuclear Density Gauge, ICC certifications.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in field construction inspection and testing; candidate should be familiar with concrete, asphalt, and soil testing.
• Associates Degree required, certifications preferred listed below.
• New York State HMA certification a plus and prior soils/lab exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing of construction materials (soils, concrete, and steel).
• Communicate with project managers and sub-contractors regarding inspection, observation, and testing results.
• Transportation of sample materials for laboratory analysis.
• Preparation of field data and technical reports.
• Travel to various construction sites to perform inspections.
