Job summary

ISI Professional Services is seeking a Construction Manager-Mechanical Engineer for an anticipated VA project in Gainesville, FL. This on-site role supports Owner’s Representation during EHRM Infrastructure Upgrades and Data Center Construction, operating within an active medical center.

Responsibilities include site inspections, submittal and RFI reviews, schedule monitoring, cost control, and coordination with VA COR. This is a future opportunity dependent on funding.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum six years of professional engineering or construction management experience.
• Fifteen years of directly related construction management experience in lieu of degree; seven+ years managing facility mechanical projects.
• Federal construction experience and healthcare project exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide construction-phase oversight support.
• Conduct daily onsite construction inspections.
• Track and monitor submittals and RFIs.
• Review submittals and provide written recommendations.
• Review RFIs and provide technical input before COR deadlines.
• Monitor construction schedule and progress.
• Review and validate contractor pay applications.
• Document deficiencies and track corrective actions.
• Monitor long-lead procurement items.
• Support development of FORCE packages.
• Maintain project tracking reports.
• Participate in bi-weekly and other project meetings.
• Coordinate with VA COR and Healthcare Engineer.
• Prepare and submit daily and weekly inspection documentation.
