Job summary

ISI Professional Services in Gainesville, FL is seeking a Construction Manager-Mechanical Engineers for a potential VA hospital project. This full-time, onsite role involves Owner’s Representation during the EHRM Infrastructure Upgrades and Data Center Construction at Malcom Randall VA Medical Center.

The position is contingent on funding and contracting milestones. You will oversee construction-phase activities, review submittals, manage schedule and costs, coordinate with VA COR, and ensure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum six years of professional engineering or construction management experience.
• Alternative: fifteen years of related construction management experience in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Provide construction-phase oversight support.
• Conduct daily onsite construction inspections.
• Track and monitor submittals and RFIs.
• Review submittals and provide written recommendations.
• Review RFIs and provide technical input prior to COR deadlines.
• Monitor construction schedule and progress.
• Review and validate contractor pay applications.
• Document deficiencies and track corrective actions.
• Support development of FORCE packages.
• Maintain project tracking reports.
• Participate in bi-weekly and other project meetings.
• Coordinate with VA COR and Healthcare Engineer.
• Prepare and submit daily and weekly inspection documentation.
