Job summary

Bodwé Group seeks a Construction Manager to provide on-site oversight for the Presidio of San Francisco project, supporting the National Park Service. Responsibilities include documenting progress, coordinating with the DSC/COR, and ensuring contract compliance on road, bike path, and infrastructure upgrades.

Requires CM certification or 5+ years experience, OSHA 30, and proficiency with Microsoft Project; travel to project sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Construction management certification or 5+ years CM experience.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Training completed.
• 5+ years applying three-phase QC per federal standards.
• Proficient with Microsoft Project for scheduling and reporting.
• Experience supporting Government Project Managers or COs (RFI, submittals).
• Familiar with federal resource protection practices.
• Field knowledge of roadway/site improvements.
• Ability to document construction activities for conformance.
• Understand cost drivers in contractor proposals and estimates.
• Experience reviewing schedules and critical path effects.
• Proficient in MS Office and cloud PM platforms.
• Willingness to travel to project sites; physical capability.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to federal protocols.
• Must have Real ID/Passport and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide construction oversight, documentation, quality control, and contract administration.
• Attend and facilitate progress meetings; document notes.
• Monitor daily construction activities for compliance with specs and safety.
• Prepare daily logs with photos, captions, and measurements.
• Review submittals, RFIs, and equipment info for contract compliance.
• Verify materials against approved submittals; flag discrepancies.
• Assist with substantial completion tasks and deficiency lists.
