Job summary

Brayman Construction Corporation is seeking a Laboratory Manager to oversee onsite concrete and materials testing for the Montgomery Locks and Dam project in Monaca, PA. The role supports batch plant production, project material compliance, and QC documentation.

You will lead lab operations, manage personnel, ensure testing to ACI standards, calibrate equipment, and coordinate with field crews and inspectors. The project runs through 2030 and offers a challenging, safety‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in concrete, aggregate, or construction materials laboratory testing.
• Supervisory or laboratory management experience preferred.
• Experience with large civil/infrastructure projects (dam, bridge, DOT) preferred.
• Ability to manage laboratory documentation and reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the onsite concrete and materials testing laboratory (QC lab).
• Oversee quality control testing for concrete production and placement.
• Supervise concrete cylinder casting, curing, and compressive strength testing.
• Direct aggregate sample preparation and testing activities.
• Maintain lab quality systems, logs, certifications and reports.
• Coordinate testing schedules with batch plant operations and field crews.
• Manage equipment maintenance, calibration, and certification records.
• Train, mentor, and supervise lab and field testing personnel.
• Support project audits, inspections and quality investigations.
• Promote and enforce safety standards in laboratory operations.
