Job summary

Conestoga is seeking a Commodity Accounting Specialist to serve as the central accounting contact for Risk Management, Accounting, Logistics, Operations, and external customers and vendors. The role ensures commodity transactions are recorded accurately and on time, supporting reliable financial reporting and smooth operational execution.

Typical workday runs on-site, Monday through Friday, 8–5. You will process grain and related commodity activity, perform reconciliations, support month-end

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Associate's degree preferred.
• 2+ years of related accounting experience (commodity/ag/logistics a plus).
• Experience with AP/AR, reconciliations, and ERP/accounting systems.
• Detail-oriented, organized with strong communication and confidentiality.
• Ability to obtain required explosives training and certification.

Responsibilities

• Process, reconcile, and account for grain and related commodity activity.
• Complete timely accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Assist with month-end close and close processes.
• Support commodity reporting and regulatory compliance programs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement for accuracy and efficiency.
