Job summary

Daikin Applied in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Service Technician II to diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on commercial and industrial HVAC equipment, including rooftop units, chillers, and boilers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• HVAC certificate from technical school or equivalent is required.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
• Ability to obtain required local licenses or training cards.
• Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance of commercial HVAC equipment, including cleaning coils and replacing filters.
• Repair and replacement of defective equipment and wiring for fan coils, water source heat pumps, AHUs, rooftops, cooling towers, and condensers.
• Inspect equipment to prevent premature breakdowns and callbacks.
• Lead Level I technicians through hands-on troubleshooting demonstrations.
• Assist with warranty service checks and testing of systems.
• Record billing, inventory, timecards, and other reports in a timely manner.
• Explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Participate in training through regional technicians, off-site modules, and Daikin Learning.
• Maintain required certifications and uphold safety and cleanliness standards.
