Job summary

The Employee Connect seeks a skilled CNC Machine Maintenance Mechanic for an on-site contract in Franklin, Massachusetts, running about five months. You will keep precision CNC equipment running to tolerances required for medical device components, with a focus on proactive maintenance and reliability in a clean, controlled environment.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, alignment checks, calibration coordination, and strict adherence to lockout/tagout and safety

Qualifications

• Prior maintenance experience on CNC machine tools, including preventive maintenance and fault diagnosis on machining centers or turning equipment.
• Solid mechanical troubleshooting capability with working knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on CNC machining centers, lathes, and related precision equipment, including lubrication systems, way covers, ballscrews, spindles, coolant systems, filtration, and chip management.
• Diagnose and repair machine faults across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using schematics and manufacturer documentation to restore specifications.
• Support machine accuracy through alignment checks, geometry verification, backlash and compensation adjustment, and calibration coordination to maintain tolerances for medical device components.
• Document maintenance and repair work in the maintenance management system, manage spare parts, follow lockout/tagout and safety procedures, and support equipment installation and qualification.
• Coordinate with external service providers and OEM technicians for specialized repairs and calibration, verifying equipment meets specification before production.
