Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions seeks an experienced CMM Programmer for a fully onsite role in Oak Ridge, TN. The candidate will develop and maintain CMM programs, interpret GD&T, and support quality engineering in critical federal projects.

The role requires an active TS/SCI or DOE Q clearance and hands-on CMM experience with Zeiss/Calypso, PC‑DMIS, and related tools. Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a related field; 3+ years CMM programming and dimensional inspection experience preferred.
• Strong GD&T knowledge per ANSI Y14.5 and ability to interpret drawings and CAD models.
• Experience with Zeiss CMMs, Calypso, PC‑DMIS, and related inspection software.
• Ability to onsite work in Oak Ridge, TN and hold TS/SCI or DOE Q clearance.
• Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and tolerances; able to prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, validate, and maintain CMM programs for production components and tooling calibration.
• Design and develop CMM fixtures and workholding solutions.
• Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, CAD models, and GD&T specifications.
• Perform dimensional inspections, measure tolerances, and document measurement results using CMM equipment.
• Collaborate on Gauge R&R, capability studies, correlations, RCCA activities.
• Troubleshoot CMM programs, probes, fixtures, and measurement-related issues.
• Establish and oversee daily and weekly maintenance of CMM instruments.
• Train technicians and operators on CMM program setup and execution.
