Job summary

Pardee UNC Health Care in Hendersonville, NC seeks a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to interview patients, document histories, perform vital signs, collect specimens, and assist with procedures in our clinic.

This full-time, on-site role requires CMA certification from NHA, AAMA, AMT, NCCT or ARMA and BLS, plus ability to lift equipment and navigate busy clinical areas as part of a dedicated care team.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Medical Assistant certification.
• Must hold current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Position will require the ability to lift supplies and navigate clinical area actively throughout work.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients to collect and document history of present illness (HPI), medication reconciliation, allergies.
• Performs vital sign measurement and standard testing per clinic procedures.
• Coordinates follow-on procedures including onsite testing, specimen collection, and wound care.
• Assists with provider-performed procedures such as sutures or splints.
• Documents care into the EMR and ensures completion of forms.
