Job summary

The Buck Institute in Marin County, California, seeks an experienced Clinical Project Manager to lead day-to-day execution of two complex clinical studies, TIME and BETA, ensuring protocol compliance, data integrity, and timely delivery.

You will supervise staff, coordinate with stakeholders, manage budgets, regulatory filings, and quality of biospecimens, gaining visibility in a growing federally funded program within a dynamic nonprofit research environment.

Qualifications

• Experience managing concurrent studies and priorities.
• Problem solving, initiative, and follow-through.
• Supervisory/leadership experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to meet deadlines and budget guidelines.
• Experience preparing or submitting IRB protocols, amendments, or continuing reviews.
• Clinical skills to oversee staff performing clinical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day execution of clinical trials ensuring compliance with study protocols, GCP, ICH Guidelines and SOPs.
• Manage study collaborators and vendors to meet study needs and timelines.
• Monitor enrollment, milestones, and team capacity; flag risks to leadership.
• Coordinate protocol amendments, study close-out activities, and follow-up on deliverables.
• Maintain IRB compliance and regulatory documentation.
• Oversee data entry, queries, and good documentation practices across systems.
• Oversee safety reporting and escalation for adverse events and deviations.
• Train and mentor Clinical Research Associates; ensure appropriate staffing and coverage.
• Coordinate scheduling of participants, staff, and resources; adapt plans as priorities shift.
• Promote culturally competent, multilingual recruitment.
