Job summary

ALTEN is seeking a chipset test engineer for 100% onsite work in San Diego. You will evaluate chipsets against engineering specifications, troubleshoot RF and digital circuits, and collaborate with the engineering team to run tests and analyze results.

The role requires familiarity with Unix/DOS, test equipment, and ability to multitask during extended shifts. Strong teamwork and self-motivation are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to pass a pre-employment aptitude assessment.
• Familiar with RF and complex digital circuits, Unix/DOS, and test equipment.
• Able to follow detailed engineering directions and troubleshoot effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform chipset evaluation based on engineering specs.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical testing of chipsets.
• Collaborate with engineering to test chipset and analyze results.
• Set up bench testing of chipsets and equipment used in manufacturing and software design.
• Multitask across multiple tasks during a 12-hour shift; work with minimal supervision.
