Job summary

ALTEN is seeking an engineering support professional in San Diego, CA. The role involves responsibilities such as performing design and development tasks, providing layout support, troubleshooting technical issues, and managing equipment in the lab. Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with design, development, R&D, or similar experience in Electronics.
• Able to work in priority order as defined by management.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily activities as defined by management to support engineering.
• Install, upgrade, and configure equipment based on specifications.
• Conduct analyses to identify and troubleshoot straightforward issues.
• Collaborate with team members to complete project work.

Skills

Proficient in different operating systems including Windows and Linux (Centos/RHEL)

Familiarity with RF equipment like spectrum analyzer and network analyzer

Proficient in debugging methodology and problem solving

Familiarity with common coaxial and network cabling types

Excellent communication skills, written and verbal

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

TCP/IP including DNS and DHCP
