Job summary

Agfa HealthCare in Chicago, IL is seeking a Systems Administrator to maintain, configure, and operate computer systems, servers, networks, and cloud-based infrastructure, with emphasis on data integrity and security.

This onsite role at a single customer site requires collaboration with clinical, operational, IT and leadership teams to ensure reliable systems, perform upgrades, backups, disaster recovery, and accurate documentation, while delivering proactive, user-focused support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology is required or equivalent.
• 5-7 years proven experience as a System Administrator in IT infrastructure.
• 2+ years Linux administration experience.
• Experience with Windows, Linux, networking protocols, and virtualization.
• Experience with system monitoring, backup/recovery solutions, and security systems.

Responsibilities

• System Maintenance: monitor performance, perform updates, patches, and upgrades.
• Network Management: maintain customer-contract-limited network infrastructure and security.
• Data Security: implement security measures, monitor logs, perform security audits.
• User Support: provide technical support and respond to help desk tickets.
• Backup and Recovery: develop and test backup and disaster recovery plans.
• Documentation: document configurations, diagrams, and procedures.
