Job summary
ABB is seeking a Category Specialist onsite in Mebane, NC. You will support and optimize regional/global sourcing initiatives, working with plant leadership and cross-functional teams to drive procurement excellence across indirect spending and capital projects.
Responsibilities include managing supplier onboarding, contract negotiation, performance monitoring, and project execution support, while coordinating with operations, finance, and engineering to align with business objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree required in a related field.
- Minimum 2 years experience in Category Management or Strategic Sourcing.
- Proficiency with MS Office, ERP and data analytics tools.
- Experience with Power BI, Ariba or SAP a plus.
Responsibilities
- Support, develop, implement and optimize local/regional sourcing initiatives and strategies.
- Drive procurement excellence across indirect spend and capital projects.
- Manage full supplier lifecycle: sourcing, onboarding, contracts, performance, and project support.
- Collaborate with plant leadership, operations, supply chain, engineering and finance.
