Job summary

Ohio State University seeks a Clinical Research Coordinator for Cardiovascular Medicine. The role coordinates daily clinical research activities at the Davis Heart and Lung Research Institute and supports patient screening, consent, data collection and sample handling in line with study protocols.

On-site position requiring 40 hours weekly; travel within the Columbus metro area may be required. The team places emphasis on IRB/FDA compliance, safety monitoring, and accurate data reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biological/health/social sciences or related field.
• 1 year of clinical research experience required.
• Cardiac disease knowledge preferred; certification desired; background check required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily clinical research activities per approved protocols.
• Recruit, interview and enroll patients; obtain informed consent.
• Collect, process and evaluate biological samples; manage data.
• Monitor patient safety and report adverse events to clinicians.
• Ensure IRB/FDA compliance and assist with reviews.
• Schedule follow-up visits and testing per protocol.
• Occasional travel within Columbus area as needed.
