Job summary

Piper Companies seeks a Capital Project Scheduler for a major capital construction program in the industrial manufacturing sector. The role is on-site in Clayton, NC, supporting schedule oversight, risk analysis, contractor coordination, and project controls for a $150 million program as the owner's representative.

The position requires 5+ years of scheduling experience, expertise with Level 4, resource-loaded schedules, and proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project or Smartsheet.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project scheduling experience in capital construction or industrial projects.
• Experience developing and maintaining resource-loaded, detailed Level 4 project schedules.
• Ability to analyze schedule risks, dependencies, delays, and recovery strategies.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the owner's scheduling representative for a large-scale capital project.
• Maintain and manage the integrated project schedule with contractor activities and milestones.
• Review contractor baselines and updates for logic, sequencing, durations, and milestones.
• Validate progress through coordination with project teams and field personnel.
• Analyze critical and near-critical paths, float, milestones, and schedule performance.
• Identify schedule risks, constraints, and recovery opportunities throughout execution.
• Coordinate scheduling across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup teams.
• Evaluate schedule impacts from changes, delays, and risks with scenario analyses.
