Job summary

American Youth Foundation is seeking an Office Specialist to support the camp season. You will greet guests, answer phones, sort mail, and prepare camp materials while also assisting with programming when needed.

Role involves living on-site in Miniwanca, Shelby, MI during staff training and camp sessions, with housing and meals provided. Strong customer service and youth experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 with at least one year of post-high school experience (AYF requires 19 for Merrowvista, where applicable).
• Very strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated administrative experience and strong organizational skills.
• Demonstrated excellence in customer service: answering phones, welcoming visitors, handling inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the face of the camp office, offering friendly customer service to families, vendors, and clients.
• Sort and distribute daily mail and packages.
• Assist with camp administrative tasks: assembling mailings, organizing luggage tags, prepping packets.
