Job summary

Deterco Inc. in Houston is seeking an onsite Calibration Technician to test, adjust, and calibrate precision measurement equipment at customer facilities, with a focus on Optical Comparators and Mic Tracs.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on calibration experience, knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 or ANSI/NCSL Z540, strong math and blueprint skills, and the ability to document data and generate calibration certificates while collaborating with quality and production teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of calibrations experience in dimensional or physical/mechanical settings.
• Hands-on calibration of Optical Comparators and Mic Tracs required.
• Solid knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 or ANSI/NCSL Z540 and quality procedures.
• Strong math skills and blueprint reading ability.
• High precision with delicate instruments and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex calibrations on dimensional inspection equipment.
• Ensure calibration activities comply with standards and specifications.
• Record precise calibration data and issue certificates.
• Maintain asset-tracking records in calibration software.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on out-of-tolerance gauges.
