Job summary

You will communicate with suppliers, maintain records of purchases and deliveries, and support departments by ordering supplies, tracking costs, and assisting with freight as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent customer relations and attention to detail essential.
• Able to calculate figures and discounts accurately.
• Capable of working independently at a moderate pace.
• Able to read and understand instructions and memos.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare purchase orders for delivery of materials.
• Verify parts and specifications of purchase requests.
• Check whether items are on contract.
• Create PO copies and send to suppliers.
• Compile records of items, prices, deliveries, and inventories.
• Compute total cost of items purchased.
• Confer with suppliers about late deliveries and shortages.
• Order supplies when departments request.
• Build totes for surgery department.
• Fill requisitions and deliver to departments.
• Help check in freight when needed.
