Job summary

GCS Recruitment seeks a Broadcast Control Room Operator for a 6-month contract based in Lakewood, CO. The candidate will monitor live and recorded programming, manage playlists, and support live events while ensuring on-air quality and continuity.

The role requires experience in master control or broadcast operations, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work nights and weekends onsite. SNELL Morpheus and Amagi knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Broadcast, television, media, digital, or post-production experience.
• Knowledge of television production and broadcast workflows.
• Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
• Ability to make quick decisions during high-pressure situations.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
• Reliable and dependable work ethic.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and changing shifts.
• Must be fully onsite in Lakewood, CO.
• Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Monitor live and recorded programming for quality and continuity.
• Verify audio, video, captions, graphics, and picture quality.
• Maintain and modify automated programming playlists.
• Execute program, commercial, and promotional changes.
• Support live events, special programming, and contingency workflows.
• Monitor channel streams and identify technical or programming inconsistencies.
• Ensure all content is ready for on-air playout.
• Manage commercial break execution.
• Respond to on-air discrepancies and coordinate recovery.
• Communicate clearly with production and operations teams.
• Support new system implementations and changing workflows.
• Operate or learn broadcast automation systems including SNELL Morpheus and Amagi.
