Job summary

ProBio, a GenScript subsidiary, is seeking an Automation Engineer for onsite work in Pennington, NJ. The role focuses on administering and maintaining SCADA, PLCs, and QC lab instruments, with cross-functional collaboration across IT, Manufacturing, QA, and Facilities.

You will develop validation protocols, perform change controls, and ensure regulatory compliance while staying current with technology trends in bioprocess automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree with 5–7 years related experience in automation systems.
• Proven IT automation engineering or similar role in biotech/pharma.
• Knowledge of validation principles for computerized biologics production.

Responsibilities

• Understand system requirements and improve automated process quality.
• Onboard, operate and retire automation systems with stakeholders.
• Develop validation protocols and lifecycle documents.
• Execute validation protocols and collect evidence.
• Manage Change Controls and write test scripts as SME.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and system integrity across sites.
