Job summary

DLS Engineering is seeking a System Administrator II (Backup and Recovery Administrator) to join the on-site team at Gunter Annex in Montgomery, Alabama. The role focuses on maintaining and improving backup and recovery services for the Air Force Intranet Control program.

The candidate will administer Veritas NetBackup and related storage solutions, perform restorations, ensure compliance, and support a secure, high-availability environment in a DoD setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with backup and recovery technologies.
• Experience with bare metal restores.
• IAT-II certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop backup and recovery plans, monitor system health, and optimize performance.
• Perform quarterly backup restores and validate results.
• Carry out DISA STIGs compliance checks and ensure security of backup environments.
