Job summary

Greenfield Engineering, a Saalex Company, seeks an Avionics Navigation Systems Engineer in Lexington Park, MD. You will support integration, testing, certification, and sustainment of advanced navigation capabilities across Navy and Marine Corps aircraft, including PBN, GNSS, FMS, RNAV, and RNP.

The role requires knowledge of aviation navigation requirements, strong analytical and communication skills, and a current security clearance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of systems engineering related to avionics, mission systems, and navigation.
• Familiarity with PBN, RNAV, RNP, WAAS/SBAS, GNSS, and FMS.
• Understanding FAA, ICAO, and DoD navigation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support integration, testing, certification, and sustainment of avionics navigation systems.
• Provide engineering analysis for PBN, RNAV, RNP, GNSS, WAAS/SBAS, and FMS.
• Support modernization efforts ensuring compliance with navigation requirements.
• Participate in system design reviews, evaluations, certification, and studies.
