Job summary

Greenfield Engineering, a Saalex Company, in Lexington Park, MD, seeks an Avionics Navigation Systems Engineer to advance the integration and fielding of next‑generation navigation systems.

This full‑time onsite role supports mission effectiveness and safety of flight, working with Navy/DoD stakeholders, performing system analyses, and producing certification artifacts and technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of avionics, mission systems, and navigation systems.
• Experience with PBN, RNAV, RNP, WAAS/SBAS, GNSS, FMS.
• Understanding FAA/ICAO navigation standards.

Responsibilities

• Support integration, testing, certification, and sustainment of avionics navigation systems.
• Provide analysis for navigation performance and troubleshooting.
• Develop and review EDRA/flight clearances and certification artifacts.
• Prepare technical briefings and engineering reports.
• Collaborate with NAVAIR, system engineers, and stakeholders.
