Job summary

AVI-SPL is looking for an Onsite Maintenance Technician to provide on-premises support for AV/UCC systems at customer sites. You will work with customers, management, Global Helpdesk, and SIG teams to deliver world-class service.

The role involves setup, preventive maintenance, remote troubleshooting, spare parts coordination, and client training. Travel to multiple job sites is required, with a focus on safety and accuracy in day-to-day operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to effectively communicate with employees, customers and colleagues.
• Ability to use hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner including soldering & crimping connectors.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Intermediate computer knowledge.
• Knowledge of basic signal flow for audio, video and control.
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of audiovisual integration experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct assistance to end users in operation of AV/UCC systems.
• Provide setup and operational support for client events.
• Perform preventive maintenance checks and services on AV/UCC systems.
• Perform maintenance tasks on customer spaces (testing/repairing cables and hardware).
• Support tasks including meeting support, connectors installation, video/audio recording support.
• Handle service tickets and administrative tasks.
• Perform remote troubleshooting for local and regional offices.
• Coordinate RMA processing and parts procurement as needed.
• Elevate process concerns to ensure timely problem resolution.
• Maintain inventory on AV/UCC systems and spare parts.
• Ensure compliance with safety and procedural guidelines.
• Provide reports and adhere to service levels.
• Oversee day-to-day AV/UCC operations.
• Document job site activities as needed.
• Provide client training as required.
• Collaborate with internal/external teams professionally.
• Travel to various job sites as required.
