Job summary

The Onsite Automotive Technician at Hertz is responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicles to keep our fleet in peak condition. You will lead a maintenance team, perform preventive maintenance, and tackle complex repairs such as engine and transmission overhauls, maintaining a high standard of quality.

The Onsite Automotive Technician is the top of our maintenance team with a focus on diagnostic and repair. This role will work to keep all equipment in running condition through our effective preventative maintenance program, as well as taking on the responsibility of handling complex repairs such as engine and transmission overhauls. This position is a master technician and assumes a leadership role with product knowledge and a standard of quality.

What You’ll Get

• Hourly Rate is $26.50 + median incentive is approximately $386/month, varies based on job performance
• Sign-on Bonus: $3,000 ($1,500 paid at 180 and 360 days of employment)

Educational Background

• ASE Certified Required
• Trade School Preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred

Professional Experience

• At minimum three (3) years of vehicle maintenance experience

Knowledge

• Must be able to perform vehicle repairs without oversight
• Ability to repair vehicles independently, while also having experience working well in a team environment
• Experience using shop equipment such as lifts, tire changing equipment, alignment machines, and scan tools

Additional Notes

• Must have tools to perform necessary repairs
• Must have a Valid Driver’s License
