Job summary

The Planet Group is seeking a Safety and Compliance Manager for a large automotive manufacturing facility in Vance, Alabama. You will execute and enforce occupational health and safety policies, conduct training, audits, and site safety briefings to promote a strong safety culture onsite.

The role requires hands‑on safety leadership, collaboration with site leadership, and experience with OSHA compliance, SOP development, and safety program management.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of safety operations experience in manufacturing/industrial settings.
• Experience with OSHA/environmental compliance and safety SOPs.
• Strong training and auditing abilities with safety program implementation.
• Knowledge of LOTO, industrial cleaning, fall protection, confined space.
• OSHA certification/training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and enforce site safety plans and SOPs.
• Deliver safety training and conduct audits to ensure compliance.
• Lead safety briefings and sitewide safety communications.
• Maintain equipment and PPE, and manage safety documentation.
• Conduct incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Report to site leadership on safety program effectiveness.
