Job summary

HireArt is seeking a Quality Engineer to support production quality, vehicle release, and continuous improvement across manufacturing and fleet operations in Hayward, CA.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of manufacturing experience (automotive/aerospace preferred), strong analytical and communication skills, and experience with PFMEAs, control plans, and problem-solving methodologies. This is a full-time, onsite contract role via HireArt.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, industrial engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably in automotive/aerospace/contract manufacturing.
• Experience containment, RCA, corrective action, non-conformance resolution.
• Experience developing PFMEAs and control plans.
• Proven issues resolution across the value stream; strong planning and analytical skills.
• ASQ CQE or Six Sigma certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage quality issues from production audits and vehicle release activities, including containment and corrective actions.
• Diagnose NVH issues identified during rider quality audits and EFR processes.
• Develop standardized NVH inspection processes and define required tools.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives enhancing quality audits and issue-resolution processes.
• Collaborate with Supplier Quality, Manufacturing, Vehicle Development and cross-functional teams to resolve systemic issues.
• Support development and review of PFMEAs and control plans to strengthen process controls.
• Analyze findings, communicate results clearly, and drive issues to closure.
