Job summary
The Toro Company in Minnesota is seeking an Automation & Robotics Engineer to design, install, program, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain automated manufacturing equipment and robotic systems. You will work with ABB and FANUC robotics, Rockwell/Allen-Bradley PLCs, and vision systems while supporting preventive maintenance and reliability initiatives.
You will collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime, read schematics, and ensure safety compliance in a dynamic industrial
Qualifications
- Two-year associate or technical degree in automation and controls.
- Three+ years in plant automation systems and controls.
- Hands-on experience with robotics, controls, and manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to read electrical/electronic schematics and drawings.
- Experience with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley controls and PLCs.
Responsibilities
- Install, program, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain automated equipment and robot systems.
- Program ABB RAPID and FANUC KAREL and integrate PLC-controlled machinery.
- Configure machine networks (Ethernet, DeviceNet) and back up software.
- Develop preventive maintenance programs and improve equipment reliability.
- Coordinate with production and maintenance to minimize downtime.
