Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC seeks an Automation Engineering Apprentice to learn maintenance of conveyors, sortation systems, scanners, and other material handling equipment. You will work with high-performance systems, analyze faults, and support safe, efficient operation.

You will be mentored by senior technicians, develop hands-on skills, and participate in on-the-job learning to meet safety standards and improve equipment availability.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Amazon RME Mechatronics & Robotics Technician experience.
• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of basic mathematics.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, or holidays.
• Ability to commute to the specified work site.
• Commitment to a 2-year onsite apprenticeship after 12-week training.
• Completion of a 12-week training program at a designated provider.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative/corrective maintenance and basic troubleshooting of robotics work cells.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems across material handling equipment components.
• Maintain and service motors, sensors, relays, solenoids, and related components.
• Assist with basic electronics/PLC troubleshooting.
• Capable of lifting up to 49 lbs, standing for shifts up to 12 hours, and climbing ladders safely.
