Job summary

Daifuku Intralogistics America Corporation seeks an Installation Quality Control Specialist I to support automated material handling projects on-site in Illinois. You will audit installation progress, inspect electrical/mechanical work, and assist with turnover documentation. The role requires flexibility for long shifts on site.

Travel up to 90% and close coordination with the project team are essential as you ensure systems meet engineering specs and are ready for customer handover.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–5 years of material handling industry experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Allen-Bradley controls/controllers.
• Basic working knowledge of CAD drawings or electrical schematics.
• Familiarity with industrial automation principles and safe work practices (Lockout-Tagout, OSHA 10).
• Good communication and documentation skills required.
• Willingness to travel on-site up to 90%.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines while working with a team.

Responsibilities

• Audit activities and develop punch lists for electrical/mechanical contractors during installation and turnover.
• Inspect electrical/mechanical installation for completeness and operability per engineering plans.
• Execute on-site checkout and testing after controls implementation for turnover to customer.
• Prepare and distribute daily site reports and project documentation.
• Maintain ongoing communication with the internal project team during commissioning.
• Inspect and test PLC implementations to ensure project scope compliance.
• Travel may be required on short notice to meet schedule resources.
• Travel up to 90%.
