Job summary

JR Automation, A Hitachi Group Company, is seeking a Machine Builder in Ogden, UT to assemble equipment per mechanical drawings and support quality and safety standards on busy shop floors. You will work with mills, lathes, drills, and grinders, documenting changes and ensuring progress is tracked to meet cost and schedule goals.

You will collaborate with the Machine Build Lead, maintain ISO-compliant processes, and keep a clean, organized workspace.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with a focus on safety and quality.
• Proficient with basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work safely around machinery.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Assemble equipment per mechanical drawings.
• Document changes and progress during the build.
• Operate machine shop equipment (mills, lathes, drills, grinders).
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
• Assist with material preparation for secondary processes (finish, heat treat, deburring).
• Coordinate with the Machine Build Lead on open issues.
