Job summary

Honeywell International Inc. in Cedar Rapids seeks a Field Service Engineer to lead on-site installations, upgrades, and maintenance of automation control systems and software.

You will support QCS and EPKS platforms, provide diagnostics, and participate in upgrades and new installations, with travel to multiple sites as needed. The role requires driving, lifting up to 50 lbs, on-call work, and collaboration with customers and Honeywell teams to ensure safe, reliable operation and documented

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of engineering/technical field experience.
• Ability to travel up to 20%.
• 18 months to obtain L3 CEAT certification while performing duties.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights.
• Valid driver’s license.
• 1+ year experience with system installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• 1+ year experience using diagnostic tools and software.

Responsibilities

• 80% onsite coverage at one Cedar Rapids customer site.
• 20% roaming engineer; travel to multiple locations for support and installation.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and maintain Honeywell control systems.
• Mentor peers and support on-call activities.
• Coordinate with customers and Honeywell teams to ensure requirements are met.
• Prepare monthly reports using Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Ensure compliance with safety, procedures, and project schedules.
