Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC—A57 is seeking an early-career Controls Integration Engineer to support on-site deployment, integration, and commissioning of automated material handling equipment. You’ll work with senior engineers to bring up IPCs, PLCs, HMIs, and field devices during installation and commissioning.

You will develop field commissioning expertise, receive mentorship, and gradually own commissioning tasks and subsystems while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience automating, deploying, and supporting infrastructure.
• Experience programming in at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust.
• Experience with Linux/Unix.

Responsibilities

• Support on-site commissioning activities for sorters, conveyors, and automated work cells under the direction of senior engineers.
• Configure, provisioning, and validation of Linux-based IPCs, PLCs, HMIs, industrial networks, and field devices per project standards.
• Perform I/O checkouts, point-to-point wiring verification, and device-level validation.
• Execute defined commissioning and test procedures, documenting results and flagging deviations.
• Support dry runs, functional testing, and integrated system testing during startup phases.
