Job summary

EMR USA is seeking a hands-on automotive mechanic to join our Returns team as a Quality Control – Auto Parts Returns Specialist. This role inspects returned parts to determine defect status and disposition.

Based at our West Deptford warehouse, you will apply engine, transmission, and drivetrain knowledge to evaluate parts, document findings, and support inventory decisions. The position is onsite and pays $20–$24 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of hands-on automotive mechanical experience.
• Experience with engines, transmissions, drivetrains, or other automotive components.
• Ability to diagnose and identify mechanical problems and potential failures.
• Strong understanding of automotive systems and components.
• Ability to enter information into inventory/warehouse software.

Responsibilities

• Inspect returned automotive parts to determine defect, damage, or proper function.
• Evaluate engines, transmissions, drivetrains, and other components using hands-on knowledge.
• Perform diagnostic checks to assess condition of returned parts.
• Document inspection findings clearly and update warehouse records.
• Communicate results to Returns team to support disposition decisions.
