Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking an Audiology Assistant on a 40-hour on-site schedule in Worcester, MA. Under supervision of an Audiologist, you will support hearing evaluations, hearing aid programming, and data entry for research while maintaining equipment and inventory.

The role requires licensure within 3 months and offers on-the-job training. The ideal candidate holds an Associate’s degree in healthcare, with preferred background in communications disorders, and possesses strong

Qualifications

• Associates degree with a Health Care background required.
• Eligibility to become licensed as Audiology Assistant in Massachusetts within 3 months.
• On-the-job training available to obtain licensure.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Communications Disorder.

Responsibilities

• Assist during audiological evaluations.
• Room patients and take patient case history.
• Program hearing aids for CI and Baha evaluations.
• Troubleshoot hearing technology devices and request repairs.
• Maintain tracking system and enter data into databases.
• Instruct patients and families in using hearing technology.
• Check in equipment and document in SharePoint.
• Produce and maintain reports, forms, schedules and files.
• Perform clerical duties and manage supplies.
• Maintain clinic in an orderly fashion.
