CAF Management is hiring an Assistant Maintenance Technician to support our apartment communities with hands-on repairs, preventive upkeep, and timely service requests. This role emphasizes reliability, safety, and quality workmanship in a fast-paced residential environment.

Onsite position with a competitive hourly rate plus commission. Ideal for someone who enjoys fixing things and seeks a long-term career in property management, with opportunities for growth from within our technician teams.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of apartment maintenance tasks (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances).
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Availability to work Saturdays and participate in on‑call rotation as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Preferred: HVAC certification or EPA license; bilingual abilities.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist with apartment turns, repairs, and unit inspections.
• Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical, plumbing, and appliance issues.
• Help maintain community grounds, amenities, and common areas.
• Work with vendors and maintenance team to complete larger projects.
• Ensure all work complies with safety guidelines and company standards.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and supply inventory.
• Communicate clearly with residents and team members to ensure satisfaction.
