Job summary

Schneider Packaging Equipment Company, Inc. is seeking an assembler to perform a variety of machine assembly operations from engineering drawings and specifications.

This role involves using hand tools and adhering to documented procedures to fabricate parts and set up machinery. You will collaborate with Electrical and Engineering personnel to troubleshoot equipment, complete electronic labor reporting, and contribute to ongoing process improvements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1–3 years of experience in similar industry or custom machine-building manufacturing.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read assembly drawings.
• Ability to operate hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide a variety of machine assembly functions utilizing hand tools from engineering drawings following documented procedures.
• Fabricate parts, set-up and adjust machinery.
• Work as a team in assembly operations.
• Assure routine inspection functions are performed following documented procedures.
• Collaborate with Electrical and Engineering personnel to troubleshoot equipment and make changes.
• Complete electronic labor reporting.
• Advise and assist other assemblers in assembly operations and procedures.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the assembly team and its function.
• Perform other related duties as required by management.
