SUMMARY AND PURPOSE

Perform a variety of machine assembly operations working from engineering drawings and specifications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide a variety of machine assembly functions utilizing hand tools (drills, grinders, band saws, sockets/wrenches) from engineering drawings following documented procedures.
Fabricate parts, set-up and adjust machinery.
Work as a team in assembly operations.
Assure routine inspection functions are performed following documented procedures.
Collaborate with Electrical and Engineering personnel to troubleshoot equipment, make changes, etc.
Complete electronic labor reporting.
Advise and assist other assemblers in assembly operations and procedures.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the assembly team and its function.
Perform other related duties as required by management.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High School diploma or equivalent required
Experience: One to three years’ experience in similar industry/custom machine-building manufacturing experience desired.
Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude; Ability to operate hand tools; Ability to read assembly drawings.
