Job summary

SSOE is seeking an Architectural Design Intern for Spring 2027, a part-time, on-site co-op in Toledo or Columbus, Ohio. Join our design studio to work on real projects with experienced mentors in a collaborative environment.

The role develops your skills in Revit, 3D rendering, and graphic presentation, with opportunities to advance toward licensure. Candidates are pursuing NAAB-accredited architectures degrees and share a passion for design.

Qualifications

Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s in a NAAB-accredited architecture program.
Revit experience required.
3D rendering skills (Enscape, V-ray, SketchUp, 3D Max, etc.).
Proficient with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
Eager to learn and passionate about design.
Demonstrated leadership in school or community.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent verbal, written, and graphic skills.
Resourceful, self-motivated, collaborative team player.

Responsibilities

Performs a variety of routine project design assignments, with growing responsibility, guided by a project engineer/architect or department manager.
Works from both own designs and designs of others, compiles data, performs design computations, makes quantity take-offs, and assists in preparation of cost estimates.
Drafts interpretation of own design into completed working drawings and applies design fundamentals.
Develops project details, prepares selections, and adapts to alternatives.
Maintains working knowledge of the discipline's codes and studies non‑routine code issues.
Performs production of construction documents.
