Job summary

SSOE Group in Columbus, OH seeks an Architectural Design Intern to join our onsite studio and contribute to the design of state-of-the-art buildings for leading clients. You’ll collaborate with senior architects, apply Revit, and participate in drafting and rendering tasks.

The internship emphasizes hands-on experience, mentorship, and the path from intern to full-time designer within a worldwide firm. This is an onsite role with no remote option.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a NAAB-accredited architecture degree (Bachelor's or Master's).
• Proficiency in Revit required.
• Strong 3D rendering skills with Enscape, V-Ray, SketchUp, or 3ds Max.
• Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Eager to learn and passionate about design.
• Demonstrated leadership in school or community.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent verbal, written, and graphic communication.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of routine project design assignments, with growing responsibility, guided by a project engineer/architect or department manager.
• Works from both own designs and designs of others, compiles data, performs design computations, makes quantity take-offs, and assists in preparation of cost estimates.
• Drafts interpretation of own design into completed working drawings and applies design fundamentals.
• Develops project details, prepares selections, and adapts to alternatives.
• Maintains working knowledge of the discipline's codes and studies non-routine code issues.
• Performs production of construction documents.
