Job summary

ENT Specialty Partners is seeking an Insurance AR Follow-Up Specialist to manage and perform insurance accounts receivable follow-up, including claim status review, denials, reconsiderations, appeals, and resolution of outstanding balances.

The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of experience in insurance AR follow-up, with a strong understanding of payer requirements, timely filing, and HIPAA compliance; ENT experience is a plus but not required. This is an on-site role in Texas.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on medical insurance AR follow-up experience.
• Experience with insurance claim follow-up, denials, reconsiderations, and appeals.
• Strong understanding of payer requirements, timely filing, authorizations, eligibility, and medical records requests.
• Ability to document follow-up activity accurately and work independently.
• ENT experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform timely insurance AR follow-up on outstanding claims and balances.
• Monitor claim status and contact carriers to resolve unpaid or denied claims.
• Research denials, reconsiderations, appeals, and payer requests for additional information.
• Identify root causes of denials and determine resolutions.
• Review claim history and account activity in the EHR to ensure accurate resolution.
• Maintain documentation of AR follow-up and payer communications.
• Follow HIPAA requirements when handling patient information.
• Enter and maintain account and claim information in the computer system.
• Work AR inventory according to priorities and productivity expectations.
• Provide professional customer service to patients and families.
• Collaborate with providers and departments to resolve claims.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and company information.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
