Job summary

Accenture is seeking an API test engineer for Accenture Flex in Vienna, VA, with at least five years using Postman to design, implement, and run API test suites. You will validate requests/responses, automate tests, and ensure accuracy across banking-related processes.

The role involves functional, integration, and regression testing, defect tracking, and cross-team collaboration to improve coverage and reliability of API systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on Postman experience and test collection management.
• Experience in API test automation with Postman scripting or Newman.
• Strong understanding of REST, HTTP methods, status codes, and auth mechanisms.
• Experience with JSON validation and API request/response structures.
• Banking/financial services domain knowledge and data flows.
• Familiarity with Swagger/OpenAPI documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute API test cases using Postman.
• Validate API requests/responses and ensure data accuracy.
• Develop and maintain automated API test scripts.
• Perform functional, integration, and regression testing for APIs.
• Log defects and work with dev teams for resolution.
• Translate OpenAPI specs into test scenarios.
• Ensure API performance, reliability, and security standards.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and analysts.
• Apply banking domain knowledge to validate transactions and data flows.
• Support testing across multiple integrated environments.
