Accenture is seeking an API test engineer for Accenture Flex in Vienna, VA, with at least five years using Postman to design, implement, and run API test suites. You will validate requests/responses, automate tests, and ensure accuracy across banking-related processes.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute API test cases using Postman
• Validate API requests and responses using JSON payloads and ensure data accuracy and consistency
• Develop and maintain automated API test scripts to improve test efficiency and coverage
• Perform functional, integration, and regression testing for APIs across multiple systems
• Identify, log, and track defects, and work closely with development teams for resolution
• Analyze API specifications (Swagger/OpenAPI) and translate them into test scenarios
• Ensure API performance, reliability, and security standards are met
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, architects, and business analysts
• Apply banking domain knowledge to validate business scenarios such as transactions, account processing, and customer data flows
• Support testing in environments involving multiple integrated systems and services

This role will require 60% onsite in the office in Vienna, VA.

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 Years hands‑on experience with Postman, including the ability to create, execute, and manage test collections
• Proven experience in API test automation (e.g., Postman scripting, Newman, or similar tools)
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, HTTP methods, status codes, and API authentication mechanisms
• Strong experience working with JSON and validating API request/response structures
• Experience in banking or financial services domain, with understanding of core banking processes and data flows
• Familiarity with API documentation tools such as Swagger/OpenAPI

• Strong experience working with JSON and validating API request/response structures
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in an agile environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams
