Job summary

Smart IMS Inc is seeking a Software Tester for a 12-month contract in Plano, TX. You will work onsite with developers, QA engineers, and cross-functional teams to design, execute, and maintain test cases for mobile apps and system features.

Responsibilities include tracking defects, analyzing results, and reporting to the team. The role requires strong communication, organization, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Experience with ADB/Jira/TestRail is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in mobile software or QA testing with a focus on mobile apps.
• Strong knowledge of Android OS and device ecosystems.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment and document results clearly.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across teams.
• Experience with mobile test tools such as ADB, Jira or TestRail is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with developers, QA engineers, and cross-functional teams.
• Detect, track, and document software defects, performance issues, and inconsistencies.
• Design, execute, and maintain functional, regression, and performance test cases for mobile apps and system features.
• Analyse test results and provide detailed reports and feedback to the development team.
• Validate firmware, connectivity (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE/5G), and hardware interactions.
• Conduct manual and automated testing as per defined procedures and quality criteria.
• Perform testing throughout all phases of the mobile software life cycle - design, develop, test, release, and maintenance.
