Job summary

Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. invites motivated engineering students to join their Summer 2027 internship program in Wichita, KS. interns will gain hands-on experience in Facilities, Equipment & Reliability Engineering, working with building systems, manufacturing equipment, and maintenance projects.

Selected interns will be onsite 100%, mentored by engineers, and have opportunities to tour facilities and engage with leaders to learn about aerospace strategy and technology development.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a four‑year undergraduate or graduate ABET‑accredited engineering program.
• Ability to work full‑time during Summer 2027.

Responsibilities

• Analyze equipment performance, failures, downtime, and reliability trends.
• Develop preventive/predictive maintenance and reliability improvements.
• Support equipment specifications, modifications, installation, and validation.
• Assist with building systems, utilities, infrastructure, and facilities engineering projects.
